Why go?

Khajuraho: living work of art, is a group of temples built between 950-1050 AD by the Chandela Dynasty, depicting various forms like meditation, spiritual teachings, kinship, wrestling, royalty and most significantly, erotic art. The temples consist of stunning displays of fine sculptures and exceptional architectural skill, making them one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites in India. Based on their geographical location, the temples are categorized into three groups: Eastern, Western and Southern. Beautiful, intricate and expressive, the sculptures of the Khajuraho temples will leave you in awe and wonder.

Orchha: The historic town of Orchha, nestled on the banks of river Betwa, was founded in the 16th century by the Bundela Rajput Chief, Rudra Pratap. Ram Raja temple is the only temple where Lord Ram is worshipped both as a God and as a King. Built in the honour of the Mughal Emperor – Jehangir Mahal it is a brilliant example of Mughal architecture. An intriguing mix of a fort and a temple, its walls are elaborately decorated with fabulous mural paintings which show compositions from mythological themes.

Gwalior: Best known for its imposing hilltop fort, which was famously described as ‘the pearl amongst fortresses in India’ it is popularly called as the ‘Gibraltar of India.’ Within the fort high walls is the 15th century Gujari Mahal built by Raj Man Singh. It houses the 11th century Sas- Bahu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu, an intricately designed historical site. Jai Vilas Palace, built in 19th century by Maharaja of Gwalior fine example of European architecture. Surya Mandir – the Sun Temple of Gwalior, built on the lines of legendary Sun Temple at Konark, Orissa is a magnificent amalgam of exquisite architecture in red sandstone and pearly white marble.

Departure from CSMT by Train no.22221 / Hazrat Nizamuddin Rajadhani Express at 16:00 hrs. Board at en-route stations. Overnight journey in train. (On Board Meals on your own).

Day 02 :

Wednesday

Deboard at Jhansi Railway Station (Virangana Lakshmibai Jhansi Junction) at 05:06 hrs. Transfer to Hotel. Check in at Hotel as per Hotel Check in Policy (Standard Time: 12:00 hrs.) Later proceed to visit Khajuraho Group of Temples: Eastern, Western & Southern temples. Overnight Stay at Khajuraho. (Breakfast & Lunch on Own; Dinner included).

Day 03 :

Thursday

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Orchha. En-route sightseeing of Laxmi Narayan temple, Chaturbhuj temple, Ram Raja Temple, Jehangir Mahal. (Lunch on your own; Breakfast & Dinner included).

Day 04 :

Friday

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Gwalior. Visit Gwalior Fort and Tansen's Tomb. Overnight Stay at Gwalior. (Lunch on own; Breakfast & Dinner included).

Saturday

After breakfast, Checkout from the Hotel. Visit the Jai Vilas Palace, Gujari Mahal, Mitaoli & Padavali. Later proceed to Gwalior Railway Station to board train at 20:10 hrs. (Breakfast Included; Lunch-Dinner & On-board meals on your own).
